Members of our National Honor Society chapter must meet the following requirements:
1. Each student must maintain a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.333.
2. Each student must participate in two group service projects and complete 10 hours in an individual service project.
3. Each student is expected to be a leader in and out of the classroom.
4. All students must make a commitment to personal goals and the goals of the chapter.
5. Must attend our monthly meetings. Students are allowed to miss up to 2 meetings per year. Jobs, college class, doctors appointments, etc. are not valid excuses for missing meetings as students are given plenty of advance notice about our meeting dates. In the event of an athletic conflict, coaches are very good about working with us and letting students arrive a few minutes late for practice.
6. There are 2 additional special events that each student will be required to participate in: our induction ceremony and the N.H.S. sponsored Snowcoming Dance. Students can only be excused from participation in the dance if there is a religious objection and this must be explained in a note from a parent well in advance.
Students are responsible for making contact with one of the advisors if they miss a meeting or need more information about an activity. Membership in National Honor Society is a privilege and our members are considered an elite group of students. We expect their conduct to reflect this designation.
